Bismillah
As salaamu alaikum,
Now if We had willed this [divine writ] to be a discourse in a non-Arabic tongue, they [who now reject it] would surely have said, "Why is it that its messages have not been spelled out clearly?”
Fussilat 41:44
Arabic is the language that Allah specifically chose and tailor-made to reveal the Qur'an in. It is the language of paradise and it will be relevant and necessary for us until the day of Judgement. Since the Qur'an is in Arabic we must learn this language well. We must know it in and out, and in order to do that we must study it thoroughly whether arabic is our native tongue or not.
This blog is to supplement my first blog on memorizing the Qur'an. As I memorize I am learning the arabic language as well. This is the only way to fully- or even partly- grasp the meanings and guidance in the Qur'an. There a few texts I am learning from: Arabic Clarified, Arabic for the Learner, and a couple of others. These lessons will begin from a very basic level. I'll discuss sentence structure and even how to properly say the letters, inshaAllah. In time, I pray, we will all benefit and God-willing be at least familiar with this heavenly language.
